Terms of Service

Effective August 15, 2026

1. What Liga is

Liga is a basketball tournament management platform. It lets organizers publish events and divisions, teams and free agents register, games get scheduled and scored, and — through a companion mobile app — organizers can broadcast a game live to a streaming platform of their choice with a score overlay.

By creating an account or otherwise using Liga, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Accounts

You need an account to register a team, join a team, organize an event, or score a game. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must provide accurate information when you register. If you're registering a minor for a team or division, you're confirming you are their parent or legal guardian, or are otherwise authorized to do so on their behalf.

3. Roles and responsibilities

Liga has three roles: players (the default for any signed-in user), organizers (approved to create and run events), and admins (platform operators).

Organizers are responsible for the events they create — accurate schedules, fair play rules, resolving disputes between teams, and complying with whatever laws or governing-body rules apply to their tournament (age-group eligibility, background checks for coaches, venue safety, and so on). Liga provides the tools; it doesn't referee your tournament for you.

4. Live broadcasting

Liga's companion app can push a live video feed, with a score overlay composited in, to a third-party streaming destination (for example YouTube or Facebook Live) using a stream key and RTMP URL you provide from your own account on that platform. Liga does not manage those accounts or store your stream credentials beyond what's needed on your device to maintain the connection during a broadcast, and does not host or re-distribute the resulting video itself — that happens entirely on the destination platform, under that platform's own terms.

You're responsible for having the right to record and broadcast the game, including any venue or league rules about filming, and for whatever the destination platform requires of broadcasters.

5. Content you submit

You keep ownership of anything you upload — profile photos, team logos, sponsor logos, event banners. By uploading it, you give Liga permission to store and display it as part of the normal operation of the service (showing your team's logo on its roster page, for example). Don't upload anything you don't have the rights to, or anything illegal, harassing, or infringing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to harass, impersonate, or defraud anyone.
  • Interfere with or attempt to bypass Liga's access controls or security.
  • Scrape or bulk-extract data beyond what's publicly displayed.
  • Use another person's account without permission.
  • Upload malicious code or content that violates someone else's rights.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Service availability

Liga is provided "as is." We work to keep it running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability — especially for real-time features like live scoring and broadcasting, which depend on your own network connection and third-party platforms outside our control. Don't rely on Liga as the sole record of anything mission-critical without a backup plan.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Liga and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including a missed broadcast, a scoring error, or a scheduling mistake. Our total liability for any claim relating to Liga is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to use it in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where practical, let you know. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
